In this month's Rui Yin meeting, we invite Allison Fong, Ceo of TURF Association, to deliver a speech with the topic of "My Future is Dominated by Myself".
Allison has a diverse education background. She went abroad to study in the States at the age of 15 and got her Bachelor's degree in Biology from University of Texas. Then she came back to Taiwan and got her Master's degree in Business Administration from National Chengchi University.
She had worked in the FMCG industry for more than 15 years before she landed herself in NGO. She had accumulated extensive experiences in Sales Management and Brand Marketing from her years in Nestle and GSK and joined L'Oreal as the Sales Head of the Consumer Product Division. With the passion in Sales and Marketing and the relationship built along the years, she started up her own business doing Food and Beverage marketing and distribution. This entrepreneurial experience was very different from what she had when she worked in the major MNCs, but learning to build a business from scratch was extremely worthwhile.
Allison decided to handover her business to others and joined NGO because she found life was not just about money and sales figures. She felt the need to do something to help and influence people in a positive way. TURF is an association that focuses on inspiring the young generation and communicating with the public about the importance and the vision of urban regeneration. As CEO of TURF, Allison is also now the host of a bi-weekly livestream program that interviews leaders from all aspects of growing industries in Taipei.
